the thing i love about rictor is that, like, sure he’s got incredibly destructive earthquake powers and he’s totally OP, but the thing that actually makes him scary is that he’s totally ready to throw the fuck down at any given opportunity
like, he loses his powers and the xfi team ask him to join because he’s their friend, not because they’re actually expecting him to fight anyone, but then he’s on the team and he just starts picking fights all the time. he wakes up in the morning and is like, “life sucks and i’m going to punch someone”, and then he does that. he has no sense of self-preservation. he is a blood knight in the tv tropes sense. he kills two people within like the first 20 issues or so of that comic, and he literally does not give a fuck. he is for all intents and purposes just a dude on this team full of powerful mutants and they cannot stop him from punching people and being punched in return. truly a gay icon.
