y’all, there is something very important missing from this thread.

when we call out neo-nazis, and when we discuss them, we need to remember the roots of nazism and the people it has always targeted. i see a lot about oppression in here, yet there are no mentions of jewish people.

you know, the people who have not only been warning us about this but have repeatedly asked for us to condemn nazism with them? the people who have been targeted for extermination? the people in the holocaust comparisons that are so common?

it’s a glaring omission, and it’s one that we, who have the privilege of not being so targeted, need to rectify when we see it. how can we talk about oppression without once bringing up the jewish experience? how can we talk about the evils of nazism and never, not once, mention jewish people?

how can we be “woke” when we’re ignoring the main targets of nazism?

also? while that’s one version of the chant, it wasn’t the only one. there was also “jews will not replace us”. they specifically called out jewish people, invoking an old and nasty false claim, and y’all are just gonna be quiet about that?

that’s fucked up, and i’m not here for it- and neither should you.
