remember in star trek into darkness when admiral marcus was about to blow up and kirk had given his big speech and turned to the crew and was like :im so sorry” and u were sitting there knowing that they werent gonna die but you also had no idea how the hell they were gonna get out of it and the whole crew just looked around at each other taking in the last thing they’d ever see and u held ur breath as the guns from the other ship turned towards the enterprise and got ready for it but u werent sure what and then THE GUNS SUDDENLY SHUT DOWN and ur heart was beating and the guys onboard marcus’s ship were like “someone in engineering manually shut down weapons” AND UR WHOLE CHEST SWELLED AS MONTGOMERY MCFREAKIN SCOTT SPOKE OVER THE COMMS TO HIS CREW AND SAVED THE GODDAMN DAY BC I REMEMBER IT AND IT MAKES ME CRY LIKE ONCE A WEEK
