“In Angband Morgoth forged himself a great crown of iron, and he called himself King of the World. In token of this he set the Silmarils in his crown.” (Tolkien, J.R.R.: The Silmarillion)
“Morgoth went ever halt of one foot after that day, and the pain of his wounds could not be healed; and in his face was the scar that Thorondor made.” (Tolkien, J.R.R.: The Silmarillion)
Here are two versions of the dark ancient king. I only planned the first one to define how I imagine Melkors Silmaril crown, but then I started adding blood and wounds and the hilt of Grond. Fingolfin’s death was a pretty bloody affair. Poor little martyr. ;3
