• how he bounces up and down whenever he’s excited
• getting SO excited when he found out spock had a teddy bear in “journey to babel”
• also in “journey to babel”, telling spock to shut up and shushing jim before grinning and saying, “well, what do you know? i finally got the last word!”
• spock: i need your advice / bones: then i need a drink (“obsession”)
• despite constantly fighting with spock, truly valuing their friendship and caring about him
• how honoured he is to accompany spock to vulcan in “amok time”
• being willing to sacrifice himself in “miri” to test the vaccine he and spock developed to save the landing party
• spock: i may have made a mistake / bones: well, at least i lived long enough to hear that (“the galileo seven”)
• the gentle, true love he feels for natira “for the world is hollow and i have touched the sky”
• how much he truly does love being a doctor and helping people heal and how much he cares for the enterprise, his captain, and his friends
