ds9 is DARK but it’s not EDGY. ppl don’t suffer for the sake of suffering - well except o'brien on the occasion i guess. but ds9 generally lacks the vibe that is darkness for the sake of darkness. brutal wars and moral dilemmas and recovering from an occupation are shown to be terrible damaging difficult things. and yet hope remains. the characters love each other so fucking much. how dare you call it edgy.
