the teacher crush community honestly makes me ill not only because it promotes predatory relationships but because these kids have no idea what it’s like to be in a class with an adult who is obsessed with you despite you being far too young to be in any semblance of a healthy relationship with them and have to deal with the constant torture of wanting to tell them to leave you alone and stop favoring you so obviously in classes because all your classmates bully you outside it for getting special treatment and spread rumours about you doing sexual favors for them for better grades that lead to the creeps in senior year thinking they have a chance with you as well and cornering you at any opportunity but also being a dumb teenager who craves attention and approval and so you don’t say anything because you’re addicted to the validation and if you tried to report it you worry you’d be in just as much trouble for allowing it to go on for so long and even encouraging it because you crave attention so desperately that you can’t even stop yourself
