That whole “I was a gifted child and then I got to college and realized how average I was and now I feel like a failure” thing tells me way more about you as people than it does about your parents. The reality of the matter is a lot of you were never that intelligent to begin with; you just tested well. Most of you never actually valued learning or seeking more understanding, you just liked to show off and enjoyed being told how gifted you were. So when you got to college and suddenly no one cared that you were well spoken because “hey we all are” y’all shriveled up and cracked under pressure because the only thing you actually enjoyed about “being gifted” was feeling special. Rather than taking the opportunity to learn and grow and catch up to the peope around you, you just make whiny internet posts about how average you are and how it’s not your fault .
