In the 2nd Moomin book, Comet in Moominland, Snufkin is actually the one who’s MOST excited to meet Moomin and Sniff for the first time and it’s so cute because he’s hopping up and down and shouting with joy over seeing other people head his way. Then he starts bonding over stars with Moomin. Probably very surprising for people who’s only exposure to the series was the 90′s anime beforehand since that version of Snufkin is always cool and collected no matter what
