The Sakhalin Island Sea Wolf was a globster that washed ashore in 2006 on the shore of Sakhalin, Russia. About eight years after the creature was found dead on the beach, its remains were closely studied. Researchers believed the creature to have actually been the carcass of a beluga whale however DNA results were never analyzed so it cannot be certain. The Sakhalin Island Sea Wolf gained a new identity when its photographs were used as the images for SCP-682.
