@ peter jackson i demand answers. how is every other color besides red travelled within days (max a week) in the last two movies. can legolas and tauriel fly. do dwarves have extreme™ stamina. how does all of this take place in maybe 2 weeks yet it takes bilbo THIRTEEN MONTHS to go there and back again
now with a scale to see how many fucking miles that is! 600 miles roughly for the red (bilbo/dwarves to erebor), but then somehow the blue (orcs) is maybe 1.5x as long but supposedly takes less time to travel?
and the green one is gandalf but i forgot to add that at some point he travels to some tombs in fucking rhudaur, except that peter jackson literally made it up so are these tombs actually in rhudaur, which would make gandalf have to double back over the orc infested mountains they JUST FUCKING CROSSED, or are they somewhere else and they somehow still called “high fells of rhudaur”??? we JUST DON’T KNOW!!!
and then there’s the yellow bit (legolas & tauriel) which takes place entirely in the second and third movies. first of all how does the little bit from the mirkwood palace to laketown take the entirety of their screen time/orc tracking in Desolation, yet in Battle they can go the ENTIRE REST OF THE YELLOW DISTANCE IN MAYBE A WEEK??? it makes 0 sense except that tauriel and legolas get to catch a ride BACK on some giant bats or whatever. because that’s totally a Thing. saving horses AND time.
anyway who is going to try and explain this to me because even IF the last two movies take place in like, two weeks and not what seemes like one, IT MAKES NO SENSE. YOU CANT TRAVEL THAT MUCH
