annie, like most angels, has two forms. a more humanoid angelic form, for ceremonial purposes, and a “true” form, for combat and self defence. annie’s “true” form is a six-headed doglike beast with six-fingered limbs (you can probably sense a pattern here) and six wings. the heads are closely clustered together, meaning that when they bite and snap at people they also take chunks out of themselves in the process. this was intended as a limiting/restraining measure and symbolic reminder that violence begets violence, since annie is the angel of retribution, however it mostly just drove them mad and since annie is a black hole of self loathing and bloodlust it doesn’t really work as intended. this is her “dog-saint” form. her more humanoid form is a tower-sized figure with three heads, six arms (with six-fingered hands) and six wings, constructed of intersecting triangular and hexagonal shapes that form his skeleton, cloaked in flesh and metal but laid bare in places where regeneration failed or was prevented. each head has a “halo” of metallic exoskeleton, spiked and curved for headbutting and warding off blows to the head, and wings, one set covering the ears, one covering the eyes, and one covering the mouth. the jaws are hinged like a snake’s, and lined with rows of sharp teeth designed for biting and tearing. this form isn’t particularly suited to combat or even daily life as the three heads and bifurcated vision between two of them make it difficult for annie to focus in one direction and vulnerable to attacks from his blind spots. this is again by design, to prevent her from being too independent or capable of large scale damage (by angelic standards).
