i wonder if anyone has ever punched an angel in the face

like. if some guy with wings surrounded by bright light and singing suddenly appears in my living room or whatever then you can “be not afraid” all you want but my fight or flight response has already kicked in and you’re getting a punch thrown at you if you’re lucky and a chair if you’re not. maybe that’ll teach you to knock next time instead of jumpscaring the life out of a guy.

thank you to everyone who reminded me about jacob. with that in mind, i think that there should be more instances of angels getting punched in the face.
