i have seen their side of things too, i was extremely careful to check every accusation and i’ve been following the entire thing for days in case there are changes to the situation, but even if the pixiv art they liked was, as they claim, because it “had a pretty cover” (which i am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on because i have no idea how pixiv works) they still requested snape/harry fanart last year asking the artist who drew it to make it “sensual” and while i am aware that people can change their views and behaviours and sincerely hope they have i just don’t feel comfortable sharing work from them anymore. if they’ve truly changed then i’m glad and i’m not going to attack them but i don’t want to reblog their art anymore either. i only answered that one anon about it because i want my followers to feel safe and not worry that i’m supporting people who make them feel unsafe.
unfortunately i’m aware (and yes, to everyone who’s about to hit my inbox, i have seen their apology posts and i do sincerely hope they have changed as they claim to have done, but i’m still personally uncomfortable with sharing their content anymore, so please respect that) i went through my entire m00mins tag to delete all my reblogs of their work last week. thank you for caring enough to inform me nonetheless.
it’s my original posts tag! any post i make that i like gets tagged with it so i have an archive of all the best posts i’ve made
its the roundness
i’ve answered this kind of ask before but it was a while ago, so i’ll say it again. i’m not interested in chernobyl for aesthetic reasons bc that would be. fucked up to say the least. i know it was an awful tragedy and lots of people suffered horribly as a result, and i know how dangerous radiation is. there is an aesthetic element to my interest in radiation in general because while it can be very destructive it also has very interesting properties and effects and i think that’s pretty fascinating and dare i say it cool, but my interest in the chernobyl disaster specifically is more like… it’s a unique historical event and although it’s a very bleak and tragic one it is fascinating to learn about because there’s really nothing else quite like it. and i know i crack jokes about the elephant’s foot and emitting radiation but i do try to be as respectful as possible about the event itself and the people who suffered and died and are still suffering as a result of it and would never dream of making fun of their situations.
i mean, i try really hard not to talk about b*ggest-gaudiest-patronuses or like… anyone who i don’t like on this site because i used to be very negative about them and i realised that having a lot of followers means that i can unintentionally cause problems for people who don’t necessarily deserve it, although at this point there’s so many callouts about that gaud blog that i don’t think it’ll make much of a difference. but i think it’s really about posting style i guess???
like i think the main difference between me and the gaud blog (apart from all the weird and nasty stuff they’ve done that i haven’t) is that their posts very much rely on other people to participate in them in order to make them rebloggable. a lot of their posts are very general statements that other people add to, and it’s their followers’ additions that make the posts interesting (arguably. i personally don’t find them very funny but everyone has different tastes).
i’m not saying that’s necessarily a bad thing, because it can be nice for your followers to feel like they’re interacting with you and participating in some way when you post. it’s a form of entertainment, and i think it’s a big part of why gaud got so popular. but i personally am not a fan of that style of posting because a) a lot of my interests are too niche to generate enough responses to make decent posts in that way and b) it tends to lead to a lack of boundaries between you and other people, and those are very necessary in order to experience any enjoyment using this site and keep your followers safe, especially if you run a blog with a lot of people following it like i do. i sometimes make posts where people participate, or feature people’s comments if they’re particularly good, but in general most of my posts rely on me alone to tie them together. and i think the issue with relying on other people to contribute to your posts is that it can look a bit lazy after a while, and start to annoy people (which is what happened with gaud before they even got called out. people got bored of seeing very generic posts and started criticising them.)
idk if i even answered your question but uh… i guess i’m just very committed to producing enjoyable content??? like i know this is just a hobby and i don’t get paid for it or anything (and i don’t want to) but it is very rewarding to see people enjoy my posts, so i want to give back in some way by ensuring that those posts entertain as many people as possible. nothing makes me happier than seeing other people happy because i said something they found funny, relatable or interesting. it’s such a wonderful feeling.
wonderful, amazing, talented and beautiful! we love wlw solidarity in this household 🤝
wellllll i’m going on holiday! at some point! idk where yet but i’m thinking i might head down to oxfordshire and go on lots of walks across all the trails i used to hike on when i was younger and also some new ones! and i’m gonna do overtime at work (ugh) so i can get more money to spend on days out with friends (yay!) and i’ve joined the committee for one of the societies i’m in at university so i’ll be spending some time with my fellow committee members planning events, and i’m going to a philosophy conference which sounds boring but it’s a huge passion of mine! also i’ll probably go home at some point so i can go to the beach because my family lives by the coast.
