I just…really love how Hermann was so much more open in the movie. Like hes often written as the uptight tense reserved nerd of the two but there he was just so painfully excited to see Newt again and literally dragging him away to talk and bond because he missed Newt!!!! So much!!!!

And he also seemed more chill with the others (“I have a mission??????? FiNALLY” i love him). And now I have the impression that while he can speak a bit formally and tends to be sarcastic he was mostly so stiff in the first one because he didn’t feel comfortable with these people and Newt was being an openly hostile little weirdo (bless him). So now we’re seeing him relaxed with people he LIKES.

And it’s him excitedly dragging Newt around and wanting to DO THINGS and kicking ass and being so delighted at the idea of Newt being a sneaky little fuck and the clinging HUG

Basically I have taken a whole new look at how their relationship dynamic would go and im into it
