idk I just think it’s really cool how Christopher Pike stayed alive throughout the reboot films and we get to see him alive and well hanging out with Jim and acting as a positive parental presence….. and I can’t believe it’s canon that Jim hangs out with Captain Pike on Father’s Day and gives him cards even though he hates talking about his feelings and Pike doesn’t even make fun of him for it, he just tells Jim how much he loves him and how proud he is………. I’m so fucking happy that nothing could ever touch the healthy familial relationship Jim has with Chris Pike
