the torchwood novels were good bcause they gave us the quality ianto/jack bullshit plots we deserved, with classics such as:

• zoo date is cancelled when jack dies and ianto turns invisible
  
• ianto gets bodyswapped and has to make out with jack to convince him that its actually him
• jack tries to take ianto on a date to see clowns. ianto hates clowns.
• jack and ianto have to deliver a baby in the middle of the zombie apocalypse
• jack and ianto are trapped in an elevator with another gay couple and have to make awkward small talk as a monster crawls through the vents

Torchwood Children of Earth 304 Day Four

Ianto is protective as fuck. Clem is also not his favourite person.

Clem was an overall asshole to Ianto and by this point he was pretty fed up with his shit.

On a side note, the way Jack clings to his arm almost instinctively makes me think that Ianto holding him like this when he wakes up is a common occurence.

Yeah, the whole queer thing was really horrible. I’m pretty sure that’s the most outwardly upset we ever see Ianto get, other than during the Lisa incident. Couple that with the shooting of his boyfriend, and you get one really pissed off Ianto. 

Oh yeah, they totally have a routine by this point. Jack seems so relieved to have him there to hold on to. 

#i’ve said it before but like #ianto is the only one that is actually there for Jack when he comes back #everyone else is just like oh whatever he’s immortal #but Ianto always holds him #because he knows the difference between ‘cant die’ and ‘cant stay dead’ #and he knows how much jack struggles with this (via @kells-coat)

That’s also why he reacted differently when he woke up and knew Ianto wasn’t there to hold him and never would be again.
