A very specific Kiliel headcanon popped up in my head during school and I felt the need to share because consider this:

Kili using his legs to hang upside down from a tree branch and drop in front of Tauriel to surprise her.

Tauriel’s like really dude. Really.

Tauriel: “You’re no elf, you’re gonna get yourself killed, get down.”

Kili: “Haha funny thing about that…”

Tauriel: “Let me guess; you don’t know how to get down.”

He just responds with a cheeky grin and Tau’s like “how did you even survive past childhood”.

She probably helps him down with her elf tree-climbing skills and all. Probably.

(For real though, Kili probably gets a lot of teasing from the other dwarves about being “elven-like”. Taller than expected, not much facial hair, favours a bow and arrows… So Tauriel decides to teach him to climb trees, as well).

I asked for lots of pretty hair and @lorna-ka did not disappoint. I’m so happy with how this turned out, from their poses, to the rich colors and the dappled shadows. 😍

While this isn’t meant to be a specific scene from the stories, it does go with my fic series So Comes Snow After Fire and Spring After Winter and Sun on the Leaves, hence Kíli’s facial scar and their rings. I also wanted the picture to be a sort of a companion piece to this painting, which I already have hanging on my wall.
