I was going to say ‘my hand slipped’ and then realised that would be in rather poor taste.

I’ve been wanting to experiment with using manga-style screentones for a while,and decided to use the traditional lines I did late last night to test it. Over all, I’m quite pleased with this as a first post of the year!

Note: I used a Quenya mode tengwar font for the name, and while I can write Sindarin mode pretty well, I can’t guarantee it’s correct here :/

Maedhros (Years of the Trees - F.A. 587)

Maedhros was one of the princes of the Noldor and eldest of the Sons of Fëanor. He is the only known Elf to have committed suicide. It is uncertain whether he was eventually released from Mandos, or whether he still remains there with his father.

so it only took me like 3 days, but, i finished the thing… based on this text post here about all high elves doing galadriel’s ‘I AM POWERFUL’ thing. and also coraregina‘s headcanon about maitimo’s scars and his use of them as battlepaint
