making bucky cap in the mcu just Doesnt make sense bc bucky NEVER Fucked with the concept of captain america?? he literally treated it like a joke the Whole first movie. it doesnt mean SHIT to him…he Grew Up with steve, a fancy and also FAKE title isn’t gonna make him nut. he Wouldnt want it and offering it to him would just be #bad writing. open Your EYES
on the contrary, captain america does mean A LOT to sam wilson. he sees it as a symbol for good. sam was essentially retired and literally went back to work bc and i quote “captain america needs my help. no better reason to get back in.” and then, despite not trusting bucky, put his own ass on the line multiple times to help him and steve in the winter soldier AND civil war like……….
PLUS how are people gonna say “steve needs to pass on the mantle bc he needs to rest” and THEN follow up with “so he should give it to bucky” like????? steve deserves a break or whatever but he essentially slept for 70 years…..bucky was Out There the WHOLE time getting TORTURED and BRAINWASHED and being the winter soldier……like if ANYONE Deserves rest its bucky. in conclusion SAM WILSON for Cap or DIE
