“let people enjoy things” is a legitimate criticism of a lot of people on this website who structure their entire personality around hating harmless things other people like just because they’re popular and/or they don’t like those things personally and feel like they need to justify that hatred to everyone by posting about how terrible it and the people who like it are but it’s impossible to use unironically or trust anyone who does because it’s always used as a defence for the most reprehensible content and behaviour imaginable
