Hey guys! In this tutorial, I’m going to be showing you how I colour my gifs! I’m gonna colour multiple gifs in this post to show how to colour gifs from different pieces of media because certain shows/movies need to be handled differently!
Lately a lot people asked me to do an icon tutorial and because I have some time today I thought I would just do one ! I already made a colouring tutorial a while ago (and this one will be similar to the old one) but I changed a few things in my colouring to make the icons a bit more colourful/brighter. So here we go:
You need any photoshop version for this
This is very easy and ps beginners can totally do this too
please like or reblog if you think this tutorial is useful
Hi! I’m no expert, but I’ve been making gifs for at least like four or five years, and over that time I’ve learned a lot, so I want to share that stuff :) Also, someone requested that I teach them how to gif. I hope this helps!
This tutorial will teach you how to create simple but quality gifs, like the ones in the gifset above! Those gifs are all from TV shows, but it should apply to giffing almost anything. I’ll be using KMPlayer and Photoshop.
This is the gif I’ll be showing how to create, as an example:
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to message me here :) And I’m somewhat new to writing tutorials, so if you notice that I got something wrong, please let me know. Thanks!
Please like/reblog if this is at all useful to you. Thank you so much if you do!
You need:
KMPlayer (link below)
Photoshop (I’m using CC 2017, but I think any version with the timeline should work)
A video to gif (recommended source below)
A sharpening action (recommendations below)
A PSD / or to know how to color gifs (recommendations & tips below)
I’ll go over:
How to buy/download PS, download KMPlayer, and download a video!
Taking screencaps in KMPlayer
Importing the screencaps into Photoshop
Cropping and timing the gif, organizing layers, etc.
Adding a PSD or tips for coloring it yourself
Adding subtitles & learning font settings
Saving for web
Posting to Tumblr
Various tips along the way!
The tutorial is under the cut. Have fun and good luck! ♥

so, many people requested me a tutorial on these (x and x) graphics, and since they are not hard at all to create, i decided to try explaining to you guys how they come to life.
WARNING: this is a long and detailed tutorial. Please keep in mind I tried to show all the tricks I normally use for these graphics, so some steps are optional or extra.
you’ll need:
basic to medium photoshop knowledge (such as cropping, blending and shadowing)
a concept (a tv show, a character, something you can pick objects to represent them or their porsonality)
Hello and welcome to my tutorial! I made one awhile ago but it’s outdated and I have better methods now. The first part is gonna be how to get your clips, the software I use and how to load your frames into photoshop. I don’t use KM player. If you already know how to do that skip to part two! I will also go over coloring in part three!
You will need photoshop Cs6 or CC. There is minimal difference between the two when it comes to making gifs. I do not have the download links for it but honestly torrented versions always died on me so :( Anyways! The rest is under a readmore. Have fun and welcome to photoshop purgatory.
could you explain how you managed to make this edit look pale but not whitewashed? i seem to always whitewash the skin color when i try to make it pale.... /post/149036828153/she-wanted-a-storm-thunder-wind-a-deluge-she
The question people ask me the most on here besides “are you dead” is how to make gifs and how to make them look good. So I finally decided to make a tutorial how to go from this: (I know this tutorial is pretty long and I apologize for that, I just wanted to make a tutorial everyone can understand because when I was a beginner I always wished for more detailed tutorials on this topic.)
So a friend of mine requested I make this tutorial of a hatched or diagonal striped drop shadow. After playing around with the settings, I figured out how to do it. So when we get down to it, there are some things you’re going to need.
