I’ve never had a warrior cats phase can someone tell me what it’s about?

basically, u go to barnes and nobles or the book store of ur choice, or ur school library, and u see a cat book. it looks sort of plain at first. but there’s a cat on the book spine and more cats on the cover of the book. and if u like cats, if you love cats, if ur indifferent to cats but enjoy animal books, u might feel the desire to pick it up. it might seem neat to pick this book up and give it a whirl.

so u do. u open the book and u see that this is ORGANIZED - there’s an allegiances and every characters name is just spelled out for you, along w/ their appearance and clan rank. theres clans and there’s cats and ur like !! ok YES!!

but then u actually read it. and ur reading about cats dying violent deaths, about being hit by cars, dying during childbirth. about a housecat named rusty who joins a group of cats bc he didnt want his balls cut off by the humans and then suddenly he’s the motherfucking fire that will save the clans??? he’s firepaw???? what

and ur gonna see some shit about tigerclaw. you’re gonna hate tigerclaw. ur gonna think hes a dick. he is a dick.

and then the first series finishes and ur like!! oh shit this was okay!! it was violent and i feel like im a little confused but i liked it enough!!!

but ti doesnt stop there: the adventure w/ firestar?? it carries ON. there’s five other fucking arcs for you to read. ur gonna read about firestars kids, his grandkids, his ancestors. and you wont even LIKE IT. ur gonna hate some of these books. the characters are badly written. the romance is badly written. the prophecies are annoying. 

but you’ve invested half of your life into these fucking cat books so you know what??? work it. ur gonna read it and u will unironcially love warrior cats. watching amvs on youtube and reading fanfiction is gonna be ur downtime and ur gonna learn so much shit about cats and cat anatomy that u will never use in ur life but u will love it

and that. is the warrior cats phase. thats how it starts.
