remember when you listened to welcome to night vale for the first time and you were really confused but also intrigued and then just when you were finally beginning to understand whats going on cecil mentioned “the weather” and you thought it would just be another weird poetic segment but then. but then !!! a song started playing. and it literally changed you as a person
An aspect Iβve always loved about Welcome to Nightvale is that even though they can cram an episode with darkness and absurdity, they always tie it back at the end to something personal, something human, something you can hold onto, or perhaps something you can learn. Hereβs one of my favorite ending quotes that I think is still incredibly relevant:

I discovered this podcast at the beginning of high school, and let me tell you, it rewired my synapses.
Not only was it my first experience with positive LGBT representation, it was the show I clung to when everything else went to shit. Whatever was going on in my life, I knew I had this show in my corner, making me laugh, making me cry, making me feel okay about my place in the universe.
